Evaluation of Health-Based Educational Content on Comprehensive Concepts of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion with Healthy Nutrition

Introduction: Health education programs should include information, value assessment, attitudes, and health decision-making and skills acquisition designed to enable behavior change to improve healthy living among all students. Therefore, the present study evaluates the educational content of health in the field of healthy nutrition in the curriculum of primary school students. Methods: This research was conducted qualitatively in 1398. It was based on an interpretive model and was implemented using phenomenological methods. The method of data collection was based on semi-structured interviews with 20 experts in education and health education who had entry criteria, using targeted sampling. Based on this, efforts were made to achieve scientific accuracy and the strength of research findings through the three capabilities of validation, validity, and trust. Colaizzi method was used to analyze the interviewed data. Results: Findings include 1 main class "Identifying healthy eating behaviors and behaviors" and 17 subcategories "Familiarizing children with different food groups, Familiarity with diet adjustment diet, Reviewing the content and contents (pictures) of textbooks, Using teachers Specialist and trained in health and attention to budget and necessary facilities in schools in order to define the nutritional pattern, etc. " Conclusion: The results show that among the sub-components obtained from the analysis of the answers of education specialists and health education, children's familiarity with various food groups and its importance in life in order to prevent the reduction of health risks and reconsideration. Incorporating textbooks into the content and images (images) is one of the most important ways to improve the curriculum (books, etc.) in relation to the comprehensive concepts of disease prevention and health promotion with the theme of healthy nutrition in the third grade of elementary school.
